John & Becky’s Movie Review Of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2

Becky and I went to see the new movie Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 at the AMC theater in Highlands Ranch, CO.  The Fandango website at Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 describes the movie as follows…

“While on the run following a botched heist, the Guardians of the Galaxy encounter a mysterious being known as Ego (Kurt Russell), who claims to be the long-lost father of team leader Peter Quill (Chris Pratt). As Quill learns more about his past, the Guardians battle foes old and new. James Gunn returns to write and direct this installment of the Marvel Cinematic Universe,…”

The Review:  Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is exactly what it says and it was exactly what it was supposed to be, the second installment of the first comic book character film.  It’s a crazy movie with a bunch of whacky outer space characters that most people who do not like science fiction and space movies will probably not like very much.  It’s far fetched, but it’s loads of fun.  I love these characters and found the film funny like the first one.  I still thought the first one was better, but it was still really well done.

I’m not going to go into great detail about the movie here.  If you liked the first one you’ll like this one.  If you didn’t see the first one I would suggest renting that one first or you will probably be completely lost and hate this movie.  I’m a fan of these characters and I’m sure they will make some more films, but it is ridiculous at times, which you expect from most super hero movies.

I thought it was a Don’t Miss It and even Becky thought it was Worth The Trip.  Go check it out on the big screen.
