Becky and I went to see 27 Dresses at the Kerasotes theater in Castle Rock, Colorado this Friday. The Yahoo website at 27 Dresses The Hitcher II: I’ve Been Waiting buy describes the movie as follows:
“Jane is idealistic, romantic and completely selfless–a perennial bridesmaid whose own happy ending is nowhere in sight. But when younger sister Tess captures the heart of Jane’s boss–with whom she is secretly in love–Jane begins to reexamine her “always-a-bridesmaid…” lifestyle.”
The Review
27 Dresses is a cute chick flick with good acting and a different kind of love story. Many parts of the film have been done before, on the movie wedding circuit, but this one is unique with the fact that Heigl plays this woman obsessed with marriage and has actually kept 27 dresses from each wedding she has attended. She does a fantastic job in the role and definitely makes the film.
There are a few twists and turns in 27 Dresses and it’s not a great movie, but it is fun. Becky and I both enjoyed the movie and thought it was worth seeing on the big screen, but if you want to wait for the rental it will make for a good one.
