Becky and I took the kids and a bunch of Conroy’s friends for his birthday last week to see Meet the Robinsons. We went to the Colorado Cinemas in Castle Rock, Colorado. The Fandango website at Meet the Robinsons describes the movie as follows:
“Lewis is an orphan who dreams of finding a family. His journey takes an unexpected turn when a mysterious stranger named Wilbur Robinson whisks him away to a world where anything is possible: the future. There, he meets an incredible assortment of characters and a family beyond his wildest imagination, The Robinsons, who help lead him on an amazing and hilarious adventure with heartfelt results. Based upon the book A Day with Wilbur Robinson by William Joyce.”
The Review
Meet the Robinsons was a great Walt Disney flick that reminded me a little bit of Jimmy Neutron because of the boy genius, but a totally different character and story of course. The animation is good and the storyline was fun with a good message.
All of the kids liked this movie and there are some really funny parts. The time machine concept was very cool and the dinosaur and evil character were done really well that all the kids liked. Your heart will go out for this little orphan kid and his buddy.
We all agreed that this was worth the trip and the kids definitely said it was a don’t miss it.
