Becky and I went to see “Prime” this evening. The Fandango Website at http://www.fandango.com/MoviePage.aspx?mid=85962&source=otw_title describes the movie as follows:
“Rafi, a recently divorced 37-year-old Manhattan career woman, is pursued by Dave, a 23-year-old Brooklyn artist who is smitten with her. As their romance develops, complications arise from friends and family, particularly from Dave’s mother, who also happens to be Rafi’s therapist.”
The Review
This film was so boring that people actually applauded at the end of the movie because it was over. I think it was the first movie I’ve ever seen where I almost fell asleep (usually it’s Becky), but we both were so bored with this film that we almost got up and left to go and see Weatherman. We kept hoping it would get better and it never did.
By the way, it’s rated PG-13 and they used the “F” word, so beware about bringing your kids to it. Well, we don’t think you will want to see this and you should warn your kids that they would probably have more fun watching the Mcneil Lehrer News Hour than this movie. It’s a low budget film that blew its resources on two well known actors that couldn’t save a terrible script. Our advice is “Don’t Bother” because it’s a complete waste of time and money. It’s not even worth watching as a rental.
