Becky and I went to see “Elizabethtown” the other day. The Fandango Website at Elizabethtown describes the movie as follows:
“ At the request of his ailing father, Drew Baylor returns to his small Kentucky hometown after he is fired for a mistake that costs his firm millions. Drew has also lost his girlfriend and his trip home is not a welcome one. On his flight home, he meets flight attendant Claire Colburn, and their ensuing romance helps guide him through his rough transition with a fresh perspective.”
Becky and I enjoyed this movie. It’s a bit far fetched with the main character losing a billion dollars for a tennis shoe company, but the acting by Kirsten Dunst, Susan Sarandon and the supporting actors made up for it. Orlando Bloom is good in the film too, but his character is not as believable as the others. It has a great deal of emotion and it’s a good date night movie. We both thought it was “Worth The Trip”.
